CARMEL PARISH

Carmel Parish is a Syro-Malabar rite church located in Wadgaon Sheri, Pune. This CMI lead church was established in the year 1988 for the migrated Syro-Malabar community residing in the geographical surroundings of the locality. 

With 266 families, this church consists of active parish members belonging to 10 wards. Run by the CMI congregation, the parish is pro-active and participates in activities, programmes and initiatives in church, forane and diocese levels.

There are various associations (Catechism, Altar Angels, Youth, Golden Youth, Pithruvedi, Mathruvedi, Laity) within the church that involve and encourage parishioners to deep-root their Christian faith.

The parish also has CMC convent sisters who help with various faith formation responsibilities. Christ College, Pune, run by the CMI congregation is in the premises of the church.
